Understanding Physical Trauma Energy: How Your Body Stores It and How Energy Healing Can Release It

When most people think of trauma, they picture deep emotional wounds or very stressful life events. But in the Body Code, there’s another category that is important to address: Physical Trauma Energy.

This type of trauma isn’t about memories or feelings. It’s about the energetic imprint left behind by a physical incident, such as:

  • A significant injury

  • An illness that overwhelmed the body

  • A surgery or invasive procedure

  • A fall, accident, or impact

  • A time when the body experienced shock, strain, or intense physical stress

Even if you’ve “healed” physically, your body may still be carrying the energetic memory of what happened.

And that leftover energy can create symptoms, blocks, or imbalances long after the event itself is over.

What Exactly Is Physical Trauma Energy?

In the Body Code system, physical trauma energy is a vibrational frequency that may become stuck in the body during an intense trauma that is physically shocking or stressful.  Think of it like:

  • A ripple or shockwave that never fully settled

  • A memory your cells held onto long after your mind moved on

This kind of trauma doesn’t require drama. You don’t have to break a bone or have emergency surgery to develop it. Even events like dental work, childbirth, intense illness, or a fall that seemed small at the time can create trauma energy the body stores.

When this specific energy gets stuck, it can disrupt:

  • Mobility

  • Strength

  • Organ function

  • The nervous system

  • Pain levels

  • Healing and recovery

  • Sleep

  • Mood

  • Digestive function

  • Hormones

Clients are often shocked when a symptom they’ve had for a long time finally improves only after clearing physical trauma energy they didn’t even know was there.

Could Physical Trauma Energy Be Affecting You?

Here are some clues that this may be an underlying cause of what you're dealing with:

1. Chronic or recurring pain that doesn’t match current injury

If nothing shows up on scans or doctors can’t explain the pain, trauma energy can be a root contributor.

2. Old injuries that “never felt the same” again

Even if they healed structurally, the energy of the trauma may still be stuck.

3. Sensitivity or discomfort in a specific area

A location that feels “off,” heavy, weak, or reactive without an obvious reason.

4. Symptoms that began around the time of a physical event

Surgery, childbirth, a fall, an illness—your subconscious remembers the timeline even if you don’t.

5. Unexpected emotional reactions related to the physical body

Fear, tension, guardedness, or holding patterns can all stem from unresolved physical trauma energy.

6. Slowed or stubborn healing

When the energetic imprint stays trapped, the body can only heal to a certain point.

How I Identify This During a Session

In an Emotion Code & Body Code session, I use muscle testing to ask your subconscious:

  • Is there Physical Trauma Energy present?

  • When did it occur?

  • Where in the body is it stored?

  • Is it contributing to your symptoms?

  • What needs to be released to restore balance?

Your subconscious already knows the answers—and my job is to help us access them.

Often, clients are surprised to discover trauma energy from:

  • A childhood fall

  • A surgery from years ago

  • An illness they forgot about

  • A moment of physical strain or shock

  • A past accident they thought they “got over”

These events can affect the body for years, until the trapped energy is cleared.

How an Energy Healing Session Helps Release This Energy

Once we identify physical trauma energy, I use gentle, targeted energy healing techniques to release the trapped energy.

This helps your body:

  • Rebalance its energy field

  • Reduce pain or tension

  • Improve mobility

  • Restore the flow of healing

  • Calm the nervous system

  • Release fear the body has been holding

  • Move out of “protection mode” and into healing

Releasing physical trauma energy can create a noticeable shift because your body finally lets go of something it has been carrying far too long.

If You Feel Like Your Body Has Been “Stuck,” There’s a Reason

Your body is always doing its best to protect you. When trauma energy becomes trapped, it’s usually because your system was overwhelmed at the time and couldn't process everything fully.

You don’t have to stay stuck in the after-effects of something that happened months or even years ago.

Energy healing allows your body to return to homeostasis—back to its desired, natural state.

If you’ve been dealing with pain, symptoms, or limitations that haven’t budged, exploring physical trauma energy can be a powerful place to start.

Ready to Release What Your Body Has Been Holding?

A 45-minute Emotion Code & Body Code session is a gentle, supportive way to uncover and release physical trauma energy—and help your body return to balance.

If you’re curious whether this might be the root of your symptoms, I’d love to work with you.
You can book your next session through this link.

When the Body Overreacts: Understanding Allergies with an Energetic Perspective

Have you ever wondered why the body reacts so strongly to something harmless — like pollen, pet dander, a certain food, or even an idea? From an energetic perspective, allergies aren’t random. They’re the body’s way of responding to something it believes is dangerous — even when it’s not.

In energy healing, we often view an allergy as a negative association or abnormal reaction created by the subconscious mind. Something (a substance, an environment, or even an idea) becomes linked with a past negative experience, emotion, or energetic imbalance. The body then “tags” it as a threat, and every time you encounter it again, the subconscious triggers a response to protect you.

This is why one person can eat strawberries or breathe in spring air without issue, while another person experiences itching, congestion, or fatigue. The body’s reaction is real — but the original reason it’s reacting might have nothing to do with the physical substance itself.

You Can Be Allergic to an Idea

Dr. Bradley Nelson, creator of The Body Code, explains that there are not only physical allergies but also “idea allergies.” These occur when the subconscious mind associates an emotion, concept, or life experience with danger or pain.

That means you can actually be allergic to an idea.

The subconscious can tag concepts such as:

  • “Being overwhelmed”

  • “Being the victim”

  • “Love”

  • “Having energy”

  • “Joy or happiness”

  • “Passion”

  • “Being criticized”

  • “Success”

  • “Change”

If, at some point in your life, one of these ideas became tied to emotional pain, rejection, loss, or trauma, your subconscious may interpret it as unsafe. Then, when that idea comes up again in your life — say you start to feel joyful or confident — your body might create an emotional or physical reaction in an attempt to protect you.

It’s the same energetic pattern as a food or environmental allergy — the body reacting to something harmless because it was once linked to a painful experience.

How These Negative Associations Form

Allergies can often begin at times of emotional distress, trauma, or shock. For example:

  • A child experiences fear or sadness while eating a certain food — the subconscious links that food with the emotion.

  • Someone goes through a stressful life event during spring, and the body begins to associate the scent of blooming flowers with emotional overwhelm.

  • A person feels unsafe or unsupported while using a certain product, and the body later develops a sensitivity to it.

These energetic “tags” can be stored beneath the surface for years. The subconscious mind, which is just doing its job to keep you alive, continues to overreact to those triggers, unaware that the original danger is long gone, and there is no need to alert you of danger.

Healing Allergies Energetically

The interesting thing about this understanding is that it opens the door to healing on a deeper level. When we identify and release the trapped emotions, imbalances, or faulty associations connected to an allergy, the body often calms down. It no longer perceives that substance or idea as a threat.  It realizes it doesn’t need to sound the alarm bells to alert you of a problem.

Using tools like The Emotion Code and The Body Code, we can ask the subconscious mind what’s really behind the overreaction. Sometimes it’s an old trapped emotion, an inherited energy, or even an energetic miscommunication within the immune system. Once that underlying energy is cleared, the body can often reset to a state of balance and peace.

Your Body Isn’t Broken — It’s Communicating

It’s important to remember that allergic symptoms aren’t random or malicious. Your body is not working against you. Whether your symptoms show up as fatigue, emotional resistance or anxiety, they're just signals. Your body is doing its best to keep you safe based on what it believes to be true.
By releasing those energetic “false alarms,” you help your body return to its natural intelligence — one where it can differentiate between true danger and harmless experiences.

When we change the energy behind an allergic response, the body can finally relax — and you can too.

If you are interested to see if energy healing can help you improve your allergy symptoms, book a session with me here, and I’d love to help you.

How Energy Healing Can Help You on Your “Law of Attraction” Journey

I stumbled upon the concept of Law of Attraction about four years ago and the concept really clicked for me.  I have always been a very goal-oriented person and I loved knowing that I could have so much control in setting and achieving goals.  It was a relief to know that achieving my goals didn’t boil down to being lucky or working super hard.

I started saying affirmations, visualizing, and doing “all the right things,” but many of my manifestations didn’t seem to be coming through. I even started to doubt whether the Law of Attraction could work for me.

What I found was that it was working, but it was responding to my energy (which had become negative), and not the positive words of my affirmations.   I was feeling stressed, impatient and irritated that my goals weren’t being accomplished as quickly as I wanted them to.  That negative energy lowered my overall vibration, which then prevented my goals from manifesting.

Luckily, it was at this time when I discovered the Emotion Code, created by Dr. Bradley Nelson.  Just in case you’re not familiar with the Law of Attraction, let’s talk about what that is before we move on to how energy healing can help you reach your goals.

Your Vibration is Everything

At its core, the Law of Attraction is based on vibration. The energy you hold—your emotions, beliefs, and subconscious programming—acts like a magnet. You attract experiences that match your energetic frequency.

When you’re feeling peaceful, grateful, and loving, you naturally draw in situations and people that reflect that same frequency. But when you’re carrying  fear, anger, grief, shame and unworthiness, those trapped energies create “static” that blocks your signal. Even though you’re working to achieve positive goals, subconsciously you’re still tuned to a lower vibration.

How Trapped Emotions Lower Your Frequency

Every negative emotion you’ve ever felt carries its own energetic vibration. When these emotions become trapped in your body, they remain long after the original event has passed. These trapped energies can influence your mood, your thoughts, your behaviors, and even your physical health.

For example:

  • A trapped emotion of failure might cause you to sabotage opportunities and prevent success.

  • A trapped emotion of grief could keep your heart closed to love and keep others from forming close relationships with you.

  • A trapped emotion of fear might hold you back from taking action on a goal you have.

These low-frequency energies weigh down your vibration, making it harder for you to align with the high-vibe frequencies of what you actually desire.

Energy Healing: The Missing Piece

This is where the Emotion Code and Body Code can make such a big difference. These techniques help identify and release the hidden energies that are lowering your vibration.

When you clear trapped emotions, imbalances, and other energetic blocks, you’re literally lightening your energetic load. You feel freer, calmer, and more in flow. Your natural frequency rises, and suddenly, your Law of Attraction practices start to work.

Clients often describe feeling an instant shift after releasing certain trapped energies. They notice new opportunities showing up, they notice coincidences (or synchronicities) or just feel more positive and aligned without forcing it. That’s because their energy is finally in harmony with what they’re asking the universe for.

Manifestation Feels Effortless When You’re in Flow

When your vibration is high, you don’t have to force your manifestations to come to you—they’re drawn to you naturally.

You start to feel inspired and confident. The right people, ideas, and timing align almost magically.

A Simple Shift You Can Try Today

If you’re working on manifesting something right now, pause and ask yourself:

“What might I still be holding energetically that’s not in alignment with what I want?”

Notice what emotions, memories, or limiting beliefs come up. These are clues from your subconscious showing where your energy might still need clearing.

Even setting the intention to release and raise your vibration can begin to move energy in a positive direction.

Final Thoughts

The Law of Attraction isn’t just about thinking positive—it’s about being in energetic alignment.
When you release the emotional baggage that’s been keeping your vibration low, you naturally attract more of what you want–and in a much more enjoyable way.

When your energy flows freely, your manifestations flow too.  If you’re ready to release negative trapped emotions that are bringing down your vibration, book a session with me.  I’d love to help you on your journey of manifesting your dreams.

Despair Anchors – How Hidden Energies Can Keep You Stuck

Have you ever felt like you’re doing everything right — you’re thinking positive, taking care of your health, working toward your goals — and yet, something inside still feels heavy or hopeless?

That inner “stuck” feeling might not be your imagination. It could be the energetic influence of something called a Despair Anchor, one of the imbalances we find in the Body Code system.

What Is a Despair Anchor?

A Despair Anchor is a powerful negative energy that forms when a person experiences intense hopelessness or despair. It’s usually tied to a specific thought — one that feels final, like “It will never get better,” “I’ll never heal,” “No one will ever love me,” or “I can’t do this.”

When a thought like this carries strong emotion, it can become energetically anchored in the body, almost like tying a heavy weight to your energy field. That anchor keeps pulling you down — emotionally, mentally, and even physically — long after the original experience has passed.

How Despair Anchors Affect the Body and Mind

Despair Anchors can create powerful ripple effects throughout your entire body. Here are a few ways they may show up:

  • Emotionally: You might feel waves of discouragement or apathy for no clear reason. Things that used to excite you may suddenly feel dull or meaningless.

  • Mentally: Despair Anchors can block clarity and focus. You may find yourself looping on negative thoughts or believing change isn’t possible, even when evidence says otherwise.

  • Physically: Many people report fatigue, heaviness in the chest, or tension in the solar plexus area. Some even notice slower healing or low motivation that feels out of proportion to what’s going on in their lives.

  • Energetically: Your overall vibration can drop, making it harder to attract the positive opportunities, relationships, or health improvements you’re seeking.

These anchors act like “energetic weights” that slow down your ability to move forward — even if you’re consciously trying to stay positive.

Like most trapped negative energies, Despair Anchors can create several issues, but their effects are often deeply internal. They may distort your emotions, affect your self-image, and reinforce negative thought patterns. Vicious cycles of discouragement and low energy are often a result.  It’s like running on a treadmill.  You use up lots of energy not going anywhere and overtime that can lead to exhaustion—mentally and physically.

How Despair Anchors Are Released in the Body Code

Using the Body Code system, which was developed by Dr. Bradley Nelson, we can identify whether a Despair Anchor is present.

Often, these anchors originate during emotionally intense times — a breakup, health diagnosis, financial setback, or moment of deep grief. Once identified, the energy of that anchor can be released, allowing the body and subconscious mind to let go of the despair that’s been weighing you down.

Clients often describe an immediate lightness or a shift in perspective after releasing one. They may notice they can finally believe in their healing again, or feel more hopeful about their future.

Real-Life Examples of Despair Anchors

  • A woman struggling with infertility had a despair anchor tied to the thought “Something is wrong with me.” After the release, she said she finally felt an acceptance towards herself, which is something she hadn’t felt in a long time.

  • A man with chronic back pain carried a despair anchor from the thought “I’m broken.” Once released, he said his pain began to ease and he felt the desire to try physical therapy again.

  • A client experiencing  burnout had a despair anchor of “I’ll never be loved”, which formed during her teenage years.  Releasing that energy opened the door to self-compassion and grace.  Soon, she was living a more balanced life with less stress and more joy.

Why Awareness Is the First Step

Despair Anchors are often invisible. Most people don’t consciously remember the moment they formed — they just feel the results. Becoming aware that these energies can exist is empowering in itself. It helps you understand that your feelings of hopelessness or heaviness aren’t your fault; they may simply be trapped energy ready to be released.

A Simple Reflection Exercise

If you’d like to explore this concept for yourself, take a few minutes today and ask:

“Is there an area of my life where I’ve felt hopeless or defeated — even just a little?”

Write down any phrases or thoughts that come up, especially the ones that sound final, like “I can’t,” “It’s too late,” or “It’ll never change.”
These may be clues to where Despair Anchors have formed.

Even just acknowledging them can begin to shift the energy.

Final Thoughts

Releasing Despair Anchors can be one of the most freeing experiences on your healing journey. When these hidden energies are cleared, many people describe feeling a renewed sense of purpose, lightness, and hope. They can finally see the path forward.

If you’ve been feeling stuck, heavy, or like something inside keeps pulling you backward, this could be a great area to explore in a Body Code session. That one energetic release can often reignite the hope you thought was lost. Book a session here to begin your journey.

Emotional Baggage in the Body and How it Can Impact Your Health

Have you ever felt like you’re doing everything “right” for your health — eating well, exercising, taking supplements — and yet something still feels off? Maybe your body holds on to weight, you feel tired for no reason, or old aches and pains keep returning.

What if it’s not just physical?
What if your body is carrying emotional baggage — old, unprocessed emotions that have been trapped in your energy field for years, quietly weighing you down?

What Is Emotional Baggage?

Emotional baggage is the energetic “leftovers” from painful or stressful experiences that were never fully processed or released. When we go through something difficult — heartbreak, loss, embarrassment, fear, or even daily stress — the emotional energy from that event can get stuck in the body if we don’t have the tools to release it.

Over time, this trapped energy can distort the body’s natural balance and flow, affecting how you feel physically, mentally, and emotionally.

How Emotional Baggage Shows Up in the Body

1. Physical Health

Trapped emotions can lodge in specific organs, tissues, or body systems — creating chronic pain or recurring health issues that don’t respond to traditional treatment.

  • Someone who carries old resentment may feel it in the liver area (which energetically relates to anger and frustration).

  • A person who feels unsupported might experience back pain or tension in the shoulders.

  • Long-term grief or loss can weaken the lungs and show up as breathing issues, coughing, or chronic fatigue.

  • A woman holding onto guilt or shame may develop digestive problems or hormonal imbalance.

When these emotions are released through energy healing, the body can often start to relax, rebalance, and heal naturally.

2. Emotional and Mental Well-being

Emotional baggage doesn’t just stay buried — it influences how you think, feel, and react every day.

  • You might find yourself overreacting to small things, or feeling stuck in old emotional patterns you can’t explain.

  • You may struggle to trust others after past betrayal, or feel anxiety that seems to come out of nowhere and doesn’t match the current situation.

  • Sometimes people experience a constant underlying sense of sadness, irritability, or fear — even when life looks good on paper.

Once trapped emotions are cleared, people often describe feeling lighter, calmer, and more emotionally balanced. They stop reliving old wounds and begin to respond from the present moment instead of the past.

3. Physical Appearance

Emotional baggage can even show up in your appearance and how you carry yourself.
When you’re weighed down emotionally, it often shows up as:

  • Tension in your jaw, neck, or shoulders

  • A dull or tired complexion

  • Posture that looks closed-off or protective

  • Puffiness, inflammation, or premature aging due to chronic stress hormones

After releasing old emotional energy, clients often notice their face softens, their posture improves, and they seem to radiate more light — because their energy is flowing freely again. When you feel peaceful inside, it naturally reflects outward.

4. Energy Levels and Motivation

Trapped emotions can literally drain your life force. When part of your energy is constantly looping through old pain or fear, you have less available for creativity, joy, and focus.

  • You might feel fatigued for no reason or experience an afternoon crash that isn’t related to food or sleep.

  • You may lose motivation, feeling like you’re just going through the motions.

  • Or you might start something new like a diet, a goal, a project, but then quickly lose steam because old subconscious blocks keep pulling you backward.

When that emotional baggage is released, your energy returns. You feel inspired again. You wake up lighter, clearer, and more alive.  You get your “drive” back.

Could Emotional Baggage Be Affecting You?

Here are a few questions to ask yourself:

  • Do I have recurring physical issues that don’t fully resolve?

  • Do I feel stuck in a repeating emotional pattern or relationship dynamic?

  • Do I often feel tired, heavy, or “off” even when I’m doing all the right things?

  • Do I find it hard to let go of the past, even when I want to move on?

If you answered “yes” to any of these, your body may be holding emotional energy that’s ready to be released.

How Energy Healing Can Help

Through methods like The Emotion Code, Body Code, and Belief Code, we can identify and gently release the trapped emotions, energetic imbalances, and limiting beliefs that may be affecting your body, mind, and spirit.

The result?
Many people feel lighter, calmer, and more at ease almost immediately — and over time, that new flow of energy supports both emotional balance and physical wellness.

A Final Thought

Your body isn’t against you — it’s communicating with you. Those aches, moods, and dips in energy are signals, not flaws. When you listen to them and clear what’s stuck, your natural state of health can shine through. If you’d like to book a session with me to clear blocks that are showing up for you, click here. I’d love you help you on your healing journey.

Emotional Triggers: Why They Happen and How Energy Healing Can Help

We’ve all experienced those moments when something small—a comment, a tone of voice, a situation—sets off a wave of emotions that feels bigger than the moment itself. These are called emotional triggers. They often catch us off guard and can leave us feeling reactive, defensive, or even shut down.

What Are Emotional Triggers?

Let’s first define what exactly an emotional trigger is. Emotional triggers are intense emotional reactions that occur in response to a specific person, place, or situation. They’re often linked to past experiences, unresolved emotions, or subconscious beliefs we carry. When a current event resembles something painful from our past—even in a subtle way—our body and mind react as if we’re back in that old situation. Logically we realize we are reacting irrationally, but our subconscious mind is reliving a past experience—almost on autopilot.

For example:

  • A critical comment at work may trigger the same feelings you had as a child being judged or compared.

  • A partner not responding right away might trigger feelings of abandonment or not being good enough.

  • Being excluded from an event may stir up emotions of rejection or loneliness from earlier in life.

These responses don’t really make sense in the present moment—because they’re not really about the present at all. They’re about the past.

How Trapped Emotions and Beliefs Play a Role

When we go through difficult experiences, we don’t always process the emotions fully in the moment. Those emotions can get “trapped” in the body and are then stored away in our subconscious and nervous system. Over time, these unprocessed emotions can create sensitive spots, almost like emotional bruises.

When something touches that old bruise, the reaction feels instant and intense.

Negative beliefs work in a similar way. If you’ve picked up a belief like “I’m not worthy” or “People always leave me”, you may unconsciously scan your environment for proof of that belief. Everyday situations can then feel triggering because they reinforce that inner story—even if it isn’t true. Because our subconscious is always trying to prove itself to be right, you often will end up creating the exact situation you don’t want. That’s how powerful our subconscious beliefs are!

How Energy Healing Can Help Clear Triggers

This is where energy healing work, such as the Emotion Code, Body Code, and Belief Code, comes in. These methods help identify and release the trapped emotions and subconscious beliefs that provide the fuel to your triggers.

Instead of constantly managing or suppressing your reactions, energy healing gets to the root cause. By releasing the old emotional energy, the trigger loses its charge. You’re no longer overtaken by the past and you can respond from a calmer, clearer place in the present moment.

Imagine hearing the same comment that once set you off—but this time, you feel neutral. Instead of spiraling into anger, hurt, or anxiety, you can just observe, breathe, and choose how you want to respond. That’s the freedom that comes when emotional triggers no longer control you.

Moving Forward with Awareness and Healing

If you notice certain situations or people bring up strong emotional reactions, that’s not a sign of weakness. It’s a sign that something deeper is going on. Your triggers are showing you where old energy is ready to be released.

Through energy healing, you can:

  • Clear out the emotional baggage weighing down your responses.

  • Reprogram the beliefs that no longer serve you.

  • Create space for peace, clarity, and empowerment in your daily life.

You don’t have to stay stuck in the cycle of being triggered. Healing those old wounds allows you to experience more freedom, calm, and emotional resilience.

Next time you feel triggered, pause and ask yourself: “What does this remind me of?” Becoming aware of the root can help you start untangling it. And if you’re ready to clear the deeper layers, energy healing is a powerful tool to support you.

The Belief Code: Working on the Subconscious for Life-Changing Results

Over the past few weeks, we’ve been exploring the incredible power of the subconscious mind—how it quietly runs most of our daily lives, dictates our emotions, and even influences our physical health. Today, I want to introduce you to the Belief Code–which brings all of this together in a powerful and practical way.

What is the Belief Code?

The Belief Code is the newest healing system developed by Dr. Bradley Nelson, creator of The Emotion Code and The Body Code. The Emotion Code helps us release trapped emotions, and The Body Code goes even deeper and identifies deeper imbalances in the body, such as misalignments and pathogens. The Belief Code takes it one step further and focuses on one of the most powerful drivers of our lives: our subconscious beliefs.

Dr. Nelson developed this system using an existing model as the foundation called Three-Dimensional Therapy (T3), which was created by Gwen Legler and Leilani Alexander to locate and clear faulty core beliefs in the subconscious. In December 2019, Discover Healing, which is Dr. Nelson’s company, purchased the rights to T3 and created it into what is now The Belief Code.

While T3 centered on identifying and replacing core beliefs, Dr. Nelson expanded the system, creating a structured “map” of belief categories and subcategories. This organized approach makes it very helpful for practitioners to work with the subconscious, uncover faulty beliefs, and support healing. The Belief Code is now offered as a Level 3 certification for practitioners within the Discover Healing system.  All practitioners begin with The Emotion Code and work their way up to the Belief Code, which is the 3rd and most advanced level.

What Issues Can It Help With?

Because subconscious beliefs shape nearly everything we think, feel, and do, clearing faulty beliefs can create change on many levels:

Emotional:

Self-doubt

Lack of confidence

Unworthiness

Fear of failure

Hopelessness

Recurring negative thought patterns

Mental:

Overthinking and racing thoughts – difficulty quieting the mind.

Procrastination – knowing what to do but feeling blocked from taking action.

Lack of focus or concentration – brain fog, mental fatigue, or distractibility.

Self-sabotage – starting projects or goals but finding ways to undermine yourself.

Limiting beliefs – such as “I’m not smart enough,” “I’ll never succeed,” or “Things never work out for me.”

Indecision – struggling to make clear choices or constantly second-guessing yourself.

Negative mental loops – replaying mistakes, failures, or worst-case scenarios over and over.

Physical:

Chronic tension or pain (especially when no clear medical cause is found).

Headaches or migraines tied to stress or mental overload.

Digestive issues influenced by beliefs around safety, fear, or “gut feelings.”

Fatigue or low energy connected to subconscious beliefs of unworthiness or overwhelm.

Immune system struggles (always “catching everything” due to a belief of being weak or unsafe).

Weight challenges tied to beliefs about protection, identity, or family patterns.

Hormonal imbalances influenced by stress beliefs like “I have to do everything myself.”

Circulation or mobility issues (sometimes linked to beliefs of being “stuck” in life).

Reproductive challenges when beliefs around motherhood, womanhood, or creation are distorted.

Thyroid Issues: Being afraid to say what you are thinking can lead to throat issues or  even thyroid problems.

Healing Beliefs is Like Pulling Weeds

Think of a  belief system  like a tree. On the surface you see the branches and leaves—these represent your negative programs.  These are the thoughts you may find yourself thinking frequently.  You go a little deeper to the trunk of the tree and find the Limiting Beliefs.  These are a little deeper in the subconscious and you may not even realize you have these beliefs.  Then you go to the root, which is the Faulty core belief. This was probably a belief that was instilled in you during early childhood, before age seven.  Sometimes, we need to go one layer deeper to the Faulty Core Identity, which you can think of as the soil around the root.  Not every belief system has a Faulty Core Identity associated with it, but it sometimes occurs.

The Belief Code allows us to go directly to the root and clear it out. When the root belief is removed (the Faulty Core Belief), the subconscious no longer feeds false information to your mind and body. Instead, new, healthier patterns naturally begin to grow.

What Happens in a Belief Code Session?

A Belief Code session is gentle, simple, and surprisingly relaxing. Here’s what you can expect:

  1. Connecting with the subconscious:
We use muscle testing to tap into the subconscious mind, which holds the information about what beliefs may be creating blocks.

  2. Following the map:
The Belief Code provides a structured map of belief categories and subcategories. Using muscle testing, we’re guided to the specific area of the subconscious that’s holding a faulty belief system.

  3. Finding the faulty core belief:
We gently peel back the layers to identify the untrue core belief at the root. This is the root that has been influencing your thoughts, emotions, and sometimes even your physical health.

  4. Clearing the belief:
Once identified, the faulty belief is released using energy healing techniques (by running a magnet along the governing meridian, just like in the Emotion Code).

  5. Closing the gap or installing truth:
Sometimes, the subconscious simply needs the faulty belief removed. Other times, a positive belief is installed to fill the “subconscious gap.” This might be something like “I am enough” or “It’s safe for me to succeed.”

  6. Integration:
Once the faulty belief is cleared, the subconscious reorganizes itself, often leading to a sense of lightness, peace, or clarity. Many clients notice small emotional shifts immediately, while others see changes unfold in their thoughts, habits, and even physical wellbeing over time.

    Why This Matters

The Belief Code isn’t about repeating positive affirmations and focusing on positive thinking—it’s about deep subconscious transformation. It gives us access to the hidden programming that drives our emotions, choices, and even physical wellbeing. By going to the root of our beliefs, we can finally create lasting change that affects every part of life—emotional, mental, and physical.

If you’ve ever felt stuck in repeating cycles, frustrated by patterns you can’t seem to break, or weighed down by beliefs that don’t even feel like yours, The Belief Code may be the key. By pulling out the root of the problem, you give yourself the freedom to grow into the truth of who you really are. You can book a session with me here if you’re ready to create life-changing results for yourself.

How the Subconscious Mind Runs the Show

Have you ever noticed how your body reacts before your mind even catches up? Your stomach may knot up before a big conversation, your heart might race when you feel anxious, or your shoulders tighten when life feels heavy. That’s all due to your subconscious mind.

Science tells us that up to 95% of our thoughts, patterns, and reactions are controlled by the subconscious. This means that not only do your emotions live there, but your body’s automatic responses—like heart rate, digestion, and breathing—are influenced by it too. Much of what shows up physically in your body actually begins in the subconscious.

Last week, we talked about how unresolved energy can manifest as physical symptoms. This week, we’re zooming out even more to look at how the subconscious is really running the show behind those symptoms.

The Subconscious and Your Body’s Systems

Your subconscious plays a key role in controlling your nervous system, which has two main branches:

  • The sympathetic nervous system (fight-or-flight mode). This kicks in when your subconscious perceives stress or danger. Your heart rate goes up, your muscles tense, and your digestion slows.

  • The parasympathetic nervous system (rest-and-digest mode). This is what allows your body to heal, digest food, and restore energy.

If your subconscious is holding onto unresolved fear, trauma, or beliefs of being unsafe, it can keep your body stuck in sympathetic mode. Over time, that constant stress response can lead to real health challenges—like digestive issues, sleep problems, tension, or even chronic pain.

Another example is the gut-brain connection. The subconscious mind communicates directly with the gut through the vagus nerve. That’s why emotions like worry, dread, nervousness, anxiety, failure, helplessness, often show up as stomach upset, nausea, or irritable digestion. The subconscious doesn’t just influence thoughts—it sends signals to your entire body.

Emotions and Physiology

Every emotion we feel creates a physiological response in the body.

  • Fear increases adrenaline and cortisol, raising your heart rate and blood pressure.

  • Sadness can decrease energy levels and affect immune function.

  • Joy and gratitude release dopamine and oxytocin, which relax the nervous system and promote healing.

  • Even thinking about a fresh lemon slice and bringing it to your mouth and taking a big bite, creates changes in your body in anticipation of receiving this food.  Your mouth will start watering and you can almost taste the sour flavor of the lemon!

When negative emotions get trapped in the subconscious, the body can get “stuck” in those responses. For example, someone holding onto years of subconscious grief  or sorrow, might experience chronic fatigue or chest tightness, while unresolved anger may show up as high blood pressure or headaches.

The Placebo and Nocebo Effects

One of the most fascinating ways we see the subconscious mind at work is through the placebo effect. Studies have shown that when people believe they are receiving medicine—even if it’s just a sugar pill—their bodies often respond as if they had received the real treatment. Their subconscious mind accepts the belief in healing, and the body follows suit.

On the other side is the nocebo effect, where negative expectations create negative outcomes. If someone is told a treatment has side effects, they may begin experiencing them—even if they were given just a sugar pill. The subconscious doesn’t always distinguish between what is “real” and what is “believed.” It simply responds.

The Subconscious and Physical Strength

There’s another powerful study that highlights how much influence the subconscious has over the body. In this experiment, participants were divided into groups: one group physically performed exercises like pushups or pullups, while another group only imagined themselves doing the movements—visualizing the muscles contracting and firing.

The results showed that both groups increased their strength. The group that only imagined the exercise still gained measurable muscle strength, even though they never actually moved their bodies.

This shows how the subconscious brain signals the body to adapt, even when the physical action isn’t there. Your mind doesn’t just influence your thoughts—it can literally reshape your body.

The Power of Belief in Life and Death

There are countless stories of people who, after being told by a doctor they have a certain amount of time left to live, pass away almost exactly on schedule. The subconscious accepts that prognosis as truth and aligns the body’s systems with it.

Likewise, many people seem to “hold on” for a significant life event—a wedding, a birthday, a graduation—before passing away shortly after. This shows just how powerful the subconscious is in directing not only how we live, but even the timing of when we leave this world.

How Energy Healing Works With the Subconscious

This is why energy healing—through The Emotion Code, Body Code, and Belief Code—can be so powerful.

The Emotion Code clears out trapped emotions that are stored in the subconscious and continues to trigger stress responses in the body.

The Body Code identifies and corrects deeper imbalances like energy misalignments, pathogens, toxins, or circuits being short-circuited—all of which the subconscious is aware of, even if you aren’t consciously aware.

The Belief Code shifts limiting subconscious beliefs that keep the body in a cycle of stress or illness. For example, a belief like “I’m destined to get the same disease as my parent” can manifest as physical symptoms. Or a belief like “I’m stuck” may literally manifest as foot or leg pain, reflecting that internal message.

When these subconscious blocks are released, the body is able to reset its nervous system, move into healing mode, and restore balance. Clients often notice not only physical relief, but also improved mental clarity, lighter emotions, and a greater sense of peace.

Real Change Starts With the Subconscious

If you’ve been struggling with stubborn health issues, repeating patterns, or feeling like your body just won’t cooperate, it may not be that you’re doing something wrong. It may simply be that your subconscious is running an old program that no longer serves you.

By working directly with the subconscious through energy healing, we can clear out those blocks, calm the nervous system, and allow the body and mind to heal.

Final Thoughts

The subconscious mind truly does run the show—controlling not only our thoughts and beliefs but also the way our body systems function. The placebo effect, the nocebo effect, subconscious influence on physical strength, and even the timing of life and death all show us its extraordinary power.

When we work with the subconscious through The Emotion Code, Body Code, and Belief Code, we can begin healing at the deepest level. When your subconscious mind is aligned with your conscious desires, your body can finally do what it’s designed to do: heal, restore, and thrive.

Can Energy Healing Help Physical Symptoms?

When most people think about energy healing, they imagine it working mainly with emotions, stress, or mindset. And it’s definitely true that energy healing is a powerful way to release emotional baggage but it can also have an impact on the physical body.

That’s because our physical health and our energetic health are deeply connected. What shows up in the body often starts first in the energy field.  I like to think of the energy field as a blueprint for the physical body.

The Mind-Body-Energy Connection

Have you ever noticed how stress can give you a headache, an upset stomach, or tight shoulders? Or have you noticed that when you get angry you notice that your heartrate increases and you may even feel tense and uneasy? These are perfect examples of how emotions and energy affect the body. When we carry trapped emotions, unresolved stress, or energetic imbalances, they don’t just disappear—they can lodge themselves in our system and show up as physical discomfort.

Energy healing works by finding and releasing those trapped energies so the body can return to its natural state of balance and self-healing.

How Physical Symptoms Can Shift

In my work with clients, I’ve seen energy healing support relief in many areas. That’s because once energetic blocks are cleared, the body can more easily return to homeostasis—its natural state of balance. Here are a few examples:

  • Chronic pain or tension – When emotions or trauma get stuck in the body, they can create ongoing stress on the muscles and joints. Releasing those energies helps the nervous system relax, which restores balance and can reduce physical discomfort.

  • Sleep struggles – Good sleep depends on a calm nervous system and balanced hormone cycles. By clearing energy that keeps the body stuck in “fight or flight,” the body can move back into homeostasis, making deep,  restful sleep more possible.

  • Digestive issues – The gut is highly sensitive to stress and emotional energy. When those imbalances are released, the digestive system can regulate itself better, bringing relief from bloating, discomfort, or irregularity.

  • Hormonal or cycle imbalances – The endocrine system is always aiming for stability, but stored stress and trapped emotions can throw it off track. Energy healing can clear this disruption so the body can find its natural hormonal rhythm again.

  • Overall immune strength – The immune system works best when the body is in balance. By helping release the energetic load that drains your system, energy healing allows your body to redirect energy back toward healing and defense.

When balance is restored at the energetic level, the physical body often follows suit. (Again, think of the energy field as the blueprint for the physical body.)

The Role of Subconscious Beliefs

Another layer of physical healing comes through The Belief Code. This method helps uncover deep subconscious beliefs that may actually be creating or sustaining physical symptoms.

Our subconscious mind runs the majority of our thoughts and behaviors—abourt 95% of our mind!--, and it has an incredible influence over the body. Sometimes, beliefs form that act like invisible programs, sending signals to the body to “prove” those beliefs true. For example:

  • A person who grew up hearing that “heart disease runs in our family” may subconsciously expect to develop the same illness—and the body may begin to align with that belief.

  • Someone who feels stuck in life may unconsciously hold the belief, “I can’t move forward.” That belief could manifest as foot or leg pain, symbolically anchoring them in place.

  • A person who believes “I’ll never get better” may find that their symptoms persist, even when they’ve tried every treatment.

When we identify and release these limiting subconscious beliefs, the body is free to stop manifesting them physically. This can create relief—not only emotionally, but physically as well.

What Energy Healing Is Not

It’s important to note that energy healing is not a replacement for medical care. If you have a serious condition, always consult your doctor. Think of energy work as a complementary support that helps your body do what it was designed to do: heal.

Why It Works

The body is constantly renewing itself—cells regenerate, tissues repair, and the nervous system adapts. At the same time, your body is always working toward homeostasis, which simply means balance. Homeostasis is your body’s built-in ability to keep things stable—like regulating temperature, hormones, blood pressure, and many other processes—so you can function at your best.

When stress, trauma, or trapped emotions interfere with that balance, the body has to work much harder to maintain equilibrium. That’s where energy healing comes in. By clearing away energetic clutter and emotional baggage—and by releasing subconscious beliefs that may be instructing the body to stay sick—you support the body’s natural drive toward homeostasis, making it easier for healing and repair to happen.

When your energy shifts, your body shifts back toward balance.

Final Thoughts

By releasing trapped emotions, correcting energetic imbalances, and shifting limiting beliefs, many people experience real physical relief from their pain and discomfort.

If you’ve been struggling with a symptom that just won’t budge, consider whether there may be an emotional, energetic, or subconscious belief underneath. Supporting your energy may give your body the extra boost it needs to feel lighter, freer, and find its way back towards homeostasis.

If you are ready to see if energy healing can help ease or eliminate your physical symptoms, you can book a session with me here. I would love to help you on your healing journey.

The Body Code: How It Goes Deeper Than Emotions

When most people think of energy healing, they think about releasing difficult emotions from the past, like old grief, fear, or anger that has been trapped in the body. That’s an incredibly powerful place to start and can result in amazing benefits. But there is so much more to energy healing that goes even deeper—-the Body Code.

The Body Code comes in when you’ve cleared emotional baggage and still feel stuck, in pain, or just not at your full potential.

The Body Code is designed to look at six key areas in our body and explore not only emotional imbalances but also the deeper layers that affect your body, mind, and spirit.

What The Body Code Can Uncover

The Body Code allows us to communicate with your subconscious mind to find and release imbalances in six key areas:

1. Energetic Imbalances

These include not just trapped emotions but also things like post-traumatic energy, offensive energies from others, or other disruptions in your body’s energy field. Clearing them can allow your body to regain flow and balance.

2. Misalignments

Your body is designed to be aligned and supported. Misalignments in bones, tissues, or organs can cause discomfort, fatigue, or even emotional symptoms. Correcting these imbalances energetically can allow your body to reset and function at a higher level.

3. Circuits and Systems

Your body is a network of electrical circuits. When connections in the nervous system, meridians, or chakras become disrupted, communication inside the body can be “short-circuited.” Reconnecting these circuits can bring a sense of clarity and allow the full body to work more efficiently .

(In my blog on Heart-Brain Coherence, from a few weeks ago,  this is the area of The Body Code where we uncover and correct the imbalances that prevent the heart and brain from working together in harmony. By correcting imbalances in  these circuits, people often feel calmer, more focused, and more connected to their intuition.)

4. Toxins

We’re exposed daily to chemicals, heavy metals, and environmental toxins. These can get stuck in the body and interfere with its natural healing abilities. The Body Code can help identify what’s weighing you down and support your system in releasing it.

5. Pathogens

Sometimes imbalances come from microbes such as viruses, bacteria, or mold. These don’t always create obvious symptoms but they can put stress on your body.  Identifying and releasing these helps your body return to balance.

6. Lifestyle and Nutrition

Your subconscious mind knows what your body needs. Sometimes the imbalance is a simple lifestyle factor—like lack of hydration, poor sleep, or a food sensitivity. Finding these hidden stressors can help you find practical changes so you can feel better day to day.

What a Session Can Do

What I love so much about The Body Code, is that every Body Code session is different. The sessions are guided by your subconscious mind, so we never know exactly what the focus of the session will be.  Some sessions focus mostly on releasing trapped emotions, while others might bring us to structural misalignments, toxins, or circuits that need attention.

Here are a few possibilities of what clients often notice:

  • Relief from physical discomfort or tension

  • A lightness or “freedom” in the body and mind

  • Greater emotional clarity and control

  • More energy and motivation

  • Ideas on how to alter lifestyle choices that support healing

  • A deeper sense of alignment with their true self

With each imbalance that’s released, your body moves closer to its natural state of balance and homeostasis.

Taking Healing to the Next Level

If you’ve done emotional healing work before, The Body Code takes it a step further and focuses on the structural, energetic, and lifestyle factors that may be holding you back.

Each session is like opening a door into the subconscious and asking,
“What is the next priority my body needs to heal?”  We then follow the subconscious mind wherever it leads us.  It’s very exciting!

When we release these hidden blocks, your body is free to do what it innately knows how to do: heal, regenerate, and thrive.

If you’re ready to experience the depth of healing that The Body Code can offer, you can book a session with me here.

What Are Inherited Emotions? Can We Carry Generational Baggage?

When I first learned about inherited emotions, it sounded far-fetched. The idea that I could be carrying emotional energy from my parents, grandparents, or even relatives I had never met felt strange. But as I began studying this work and experiencing it firsthand, I realized something powerful: inherited emotions are very real, and letting them go can be life-changing.

What Are Inherited Emotions?

We know we inherit physical traits—our eye color, hair type, and even certain health tendencies. A fascinating discovery is that emotions and energetic imprints can also be passed down through family lines.

When someone goes through a strong emotional experience—like fear, grief, or shame—the body can store that energy at a cellular level. If the emotion isn’t fully processed or released, the “imprint” of it can be carried into the next generation, just like DNA. This is why you might feel weighed down by sadness, anxiety, or self-doubt that doesn’t seem to have an obvious source—it may not have started with you at all.

I think of it like a backpack of emotional baggage that gets handed down from one generation to the next. Sometimes we’re carrying things we didn’t even pack.

Is There Scientific Proof?

This might sound unusual, but modern science is beginning to catch up with what energy healers have seen for years. A fascinating field called epigenetics studies how life experiences can influence the way our genes are expressed, and how those changes can be passed down.

One interesting example comes from a study conducted at Emory University with mice. Scientists exposed male mice to a cherry-blossom–like scent (acetophenone) and paired it with a mild electric shock. The mice developed a strong fear of the smell\, just as suspected.

Here’s where it gets incredible: when those male mice had offspring, their babies—who had never been shocked or even exposed to the smell—also showed fear when they encountered it. The grandchildren did too. In fact, researchers found that these descendants were born with more smell receptors for that scent and changes in the brain regions that process fear.

The only explanation for this is that the trauma response was biologically inherited. This suggests that emotional experiences don’t just end with the person who lived them—they can echo forward into future generations.

(Source: Scientific American, “Fearful Memories Passed Down Through Generations”)

How Does Energy Linger From Those Who Came Before Us?

Energy can’t be destroyed—it only changes form. That means when a relative passes away, their unresolved emotional energy doesn’t just disappear. It can remain imprinted within the family line, silently passed on until someone finally acknowledges and releases it.

This is why you might notice repeating patterns in families: similar relationship struggles, anxiety that seems to “run in the family,” or cycles of addiction and grief. These patterns often have roots in inherited emotional energy.

Why Releasing Inherited Emotions Matters

Carrying emotions that aren’t truly yours can affect your health, relationships, and sense of self. When you release inherited emotions, you often feel a dramatic shift—like setting down a heavy backpack you didn’t even know you were carrying.

Some of the benefits people experience include:

  • Emotional freedom – feeling lighter, calmer, and more authentically yourself.

  • Improved health – unresolved emotional stress can take a toll on the body, so releasing it often supports healing.

  • Breaking generational cycles – freeing yourself means your children and grandchildren don’t have to carry the same burdens.

  • Deeper peace – the quiet relief of finally realizing, “This wasn’t mine to begin with.”

Final Thoughts

Inherited emotions might sound far-fetched at first—I know they did to me. But when you realize that unresolved trauma and stress can echo through generations, it makes sense that we sometimes carry feelings and beliefs that don’t belong to us.

The best part? You don’t have to keep carrying them. Releasing inherited emotions creates freedom not just for you, but for the generations that come after you. It’s one of the most profound ways we can bring healing to ourselves, our families, and our future.

The Heart-Wall: Releasing It Can Change Your Life

Have you ever felt like no matter how much you want to connect to the world around you, there’s something holding you back?
Maybe you’ve been through heartbreak, betrayal, or loss. You want to open your heart, but it feels safer to stay guarded.

That’s where the idea of the Heart-Wall comes in.

Dr. Bradley Nelson is the founder of The Emotion Code and describes the Heart-Wall as one of the most powerful protective mechanisms our subconscious mind can create.

What Is the Heart-Wall?

Your heart is the most powerful energy center of your body, and the place where you give and receive love, where your joy comes from, and where your intuition lives.

Imagine that every time you went through deep emotional pain, your subconscious mind took that trapped energy and stacked it like a brick around your heart. Over time—after heartbreaks, disappointments, or grief—you might find yourself with a thick wall built around your heart.

This is the Heart-Wall. It’s an invisible wall of energy and cannot be seen on a scan, but it’s very powerful and the results of having it can be very visible.

Why Does the Heart-Wall Form?

The Heart-Wall forms for a good reason: to protect you.

Your subconscious mind sees that you’re hurting, and in order to keep you moving forward in life, it builds a barrier. It’s a form of armor and  helps you get through the day without feeling crushed under the weight of your emotions.

In the short term, this is a beneficial survival tool. But in the long term, it can create more problems than it solves.

The Science Behind It

Research from the HeartMath Institute has shown that the heart is more than just a pump. It has its own nervous system—sometimes called the “heart brain”—and it communicates directly with the brain through electrical and energetic signals.

When we’re stressed or overwhelmed by emotions, the rhythm of the heart becomes irregular, which then affects the brain and the entire body. Scientists call this heart rate variability (HRV), and it’s a helpful measure of emotional well-being and resilience.

The Heart-Wall is an energetic concept, but it lines up perfectly with what science is discovering about the powerful mind-heart connection.

How the Heart-Wall Blocks Heart-Brain Coherence

Last week, I shared about heart-brain coherence—a state where the heart and brain are in harmony, creating smooth rhythms that support optimal physical, emotional, and mental health.

When you have a Heart-Wall, your heart can’t fully communicate with your brain. It’s like static interfering with a clear signal.

  • Instead of smooth, coherent rhythms, the heart’s signals become irregular.

  • This disrupts the brain’s ability to function at its highest level.

  • Over time, it can lower your resilience, drain your energy, and even contribute to physical illness.

Science shows that when coherence is lost, stress hormones increase, the immune system weakens, and the body becomes more susceptible to disease. A Heart-Wall isn’t just an emotional barrier—it can hold back your entire system from being healthy.

What Problems Can a Heart-Wall Cause?

Although it starts as protection, a Heart-Wall can end up keeping out the same things we desire the most.

  • Emotionally – you might feel numb, disconnected, or stuck.

  • In relationships – you may struggle to open up, trust, or attract healthy relationships.

  • Physically – some people even experience tension in the chest, fatigue, or lowered immune function.

What Happens When the Heart-Wall Is Released?

The good news is that the Heart-Wall can be released.

Using The Emotion Code process, we can identify the trapped emotions that created the wall and clear them. The shift can be life-changing.

Clients often tell me things like:

  • “I feel lighter, like a weight is gone.”

  • “I’m laughing again.”

  • “I finally feel close to my spouse.”

  • “It’s like my creativity and intuition just came alive.”

  • “I am much more confident and clear in my boundaries and have stopped hiding my true self in front of others.”

  • “I have so much more space in my heart to love and appreciate all the good things around me. I feel lighter and full of joy.”

  • “I feel like my future is mine to create and I have a sense of abundance now. I used to have a scarcity mindset.  I believe I can create the life I’ve always dreamed of.”

How Physical Symptoms Are Connected

Sometimes even physical symptoms lessen or melt away as the Heart Wall is removed. This is because:

  • Emotions are energy. When they’re trapped, they create energetic distortions that can interfere with the body’s natural flow. If those distortions cluster around the heart, they can disrupt heart-brain communication.

  • Heart-brain coherence drops. When the heart is sending irregular, stressed signals to the brain, the whole nervous system shifts into a fight-or-flight state. This increases stress hormones like cortisol and adrenaline, which wear down the body over time if they stay elevated.

  • The body can’t self-regulate. Incoherence lowers immune function, digestion, hormone balance, and even the body’s ability to repair itself. That’s why people under chronic stress are more likely to experience pain, inflammation, and illness.  Many people in this state develop “auto-immune” conditions.

When the Heart-Wall is removed, heart-brain coherence improves. The body naturally moves back toward balance, which is why people often notice more energy, less pain, better sleep, or a greater sense of well-being.

Can the Heart-Wall Return?

For most people, once the Heart-Wall is gone, it’s gone for good.
However, if someone experiences major trauma or repeated emotional pain, it’s possible for a new one to form.

If a new wall forms, the good news is that it can be cleared again.

Summary

The Heart-Wall isn’t your enemy—it’s your subconscious mind’s way of trying to keep you safe. But once the danger has passed, keeping that wall up only limits your ability to love, connect, and live your best life.

Because the Heart-Wall interferes with heart-brain coherence, it’s not just blocking your emotions—it’s blocking your health, your clarity, and your ability to live at your fullest potential.

Releasing it is one of the most powerful things you can do for your emotional and physical well-being.

Your heart was designed to guide you, to connect you, and to help you create a life filled with joy and love. Getting rid of the Heart-Wall  allows your heart to do what it was meant to do.

If you feel like you might have a Heart-Wall I’d love to help you discover if removing it could be the key to moving forward in your journey. Click here to book a session with me.

Heart–Brain Coherence: The Missing Link to Powerful Healing

Last week, we explored the idea that the heart leads the healing—not the mind. This week, I want to go one step deeper and share a tool I sometimes use in my sessions: heart–brain coherence. It’s a simple but powerful way to get the heart and mind “on the same page” so that every part of you can function at its highest level.

What is Heart–Brain Coherence?

Heart–brain coherence is a state where your heart and brain work in sync, communicating smoothly and sending the same message throughout your body. When your heart and brain are in sync, you feel calmer, more focused, and more connected to your intuition.

Research from the HeartMath Institute and the work of Dr. Bradley Nelson has shown that your heart sends more information to your brain than your brain sends to your heart. This means that your heart is the leader, but it’s most effective when your brain is listening and aligned.  The heart has 100 times greater magnetic field than the brain and 60 times greater electric field than the brain.  Every cell in the body relies on and is influenced by the heart’s electromagnetic energy.

When the heart and brain are connected, synchronized and integrated, it is like a well-trained dance couple: the heart leads, the brain follows, and together they move in perfect rhythm.

Why It Matters in Healing

When the heart and brain are out of sync, it can feel like part of you is pulling one way while the other part resists. This creates mental fog, emotional stress, and even physical tension in the body.

But when they’re connected and coherent, your body’s natural healing systems can work at full capacity. You can:

  • Access more mental clarity and emotional resilience

  • Feel grounded and open to new possibilities

  • Reduce stress so your body can shift into repair mode

  • Receive more accurate guidance from your subconscious mind

How I Use It in Sessions

Before diving into our energy session, I may guide you through a brief process to connect your heart and brain. This could involve focusing your attention on your heart area, breathing in a slow, steady rhythm, and recalling a moment of gratitude or appreciation.  I make sure each of the body’s systems are connected and synchronized with the heart, reset all 7 chakras, and synchronize the heart with the Earth’s rhythm.

Going through this process is like hitting a reset button on your nervous system. Once coherence is established, it’s as though a clear, strong signal is sent to every cell in your body: We are safe. We are ready. Let’s heal.

A Simple Exercise You Can Try Right Now

If you want to experience a taste of what heart–brain coherence feels like, here’s a quick practice you can do anywhere:

  1. Focus on Your Heart
Bring your attention to the center of your chest. Place your hand there if you like.

  2. Breathe Slowly
Inhale for about 5 seconds… exhale for about 5 seconds. Imagine your breath flowing in and out of your heart.

  3. Feel Appreciation
Think of someone or something you’re grateful for—let yourself feel that gratitude in your heart.

  4.  Ground Yourself

Imagine a white light shining down through the top of your head and going all the way out your feet, rooting you into the ground.

Stay with this for a minute or two, and notice how your mind and body begin to shift. This is the power of heart–brain coherence—and it’s just the beginning of what’s possible when we work together in a session.

If you are interested in energy healing and would like to book a session, you can do so by using this link.  I would love to help you along your healing journey.

Energy Healing Begins Where the Mind Ends—In the Heart

We often think healing happens in the mind—when we finally understand, reframe, or analyze our experiences. And even though awareness is powerful, the true center of healing occurs in the heart—not the head.

The Heart Is More Than a Muscle

Modern science is finally catching up to what ancient traditions have known for centuries: the heart is so much more than a physical organ. It’s an energetic powerhouse with its own intelligence, memory, and electromagnetic field.

Researchers at the HeartMath Institute have discovered that the heart has a complex nervous system that qualifies it as a "mini-brain." This "heart brain" can sense, feel, remember, and even make decisions—sometimes faster and more accurately than the brain in our head.

Your heart sends more information to the brain than the brain sends to the heart.

This means your heart isn't just responding to what your brain thinks—it's leading the way.

The Heart’s Energy Field Is Huge

The heart’s electromagnetic field is about 60 times greater in amplitude than the  brain’s electromagnetic field. It radiates several feet beyond the body in every direction, like an invisible signal transmitting who we are, how we feel, and what energy we’re carrying.

When we carry unresolved emotions, such as grief, betrayal, or fear, they don't just linger in our thoughts. They live in our heart’s electromagnetic field. They shape our ability to connect, trust, and open up. That’s why when we focus on heart-centered healing, we aim to reach the real root of what’s been holding us back.

Why Mind-Only Healing Can Fall Short

Have you ever tried to “think” your way out of a painful situation using logic?

Maybe you told yourself it shouldn't bother you. You tried to make sense of why someone did what they did. You may have rationalized your way through the situation. But the pain remained.

That’s because the heart doesn't heal through logic. It heals through connection, compassion, forgiveness, and feeling.

The mind wants to understand, and the heart wants to release.

Through energy healing and emotional clearing, we can access the heart’s wisdom, which is deeper than logical thought. We remove emotions that have been trapped for years, allowing the body to soften and heal.

Follow the Heart

In sessions with clients, I often find that the heart is holding onto layers of old emotion that the mind has no memory of. The heart remembers heartbreak from decades ago. It remembers a parent’s absence, a betrayal, a time we felt unseen or unimportant.

When we give it the chance, the heart is very willing to let go. It doesn't need years of talking or analyzing. It just needs permission.

If you’re on a healing path and feeling stuck, ask yourself:

  • Am I trying to think my way through this?

  • What is my heart trying to tell me?

  • What would happen if I trusted my heart to lead the way, even if it doesn’t make logical sense?

Energy Healing Begins In the Heart

Your heart holds the memory of who you were before stress, self-doubt, and life’s challenges got in the way.

When we start to listen to that deeper part of ourselves and trust what we feel, healing often becomes clearer and more natural.  The resistance fades away and you are able to make forward progress with less effort.

If you are ready to start on your energy healing journey, you can book a session with me at empoweredhealthandhealing.as.me  I would love to work with you.

What to Do If You’re Not Seeing Results After a Session or Two

If you’ve had one or two energy healing sessions and you’re wondering… should I be feeling more? Shouldn’t something have shifted by now?

First of all, you’re not alone. While many clients feel immediate relief or clarity after a session, others experience more subtle shifts—or results that unfold over time. Just like the body takes time to heal a physical wound, your energy body may also need space, patience, and support as it clears deep layers.

Here’s what to keep in mind if you’re not seeing results right away:

1. Healing Isn’t Always Linear

If you’re like me, you like to have everything unfold in a very predictable, step-by-step process that is only moving forward—-and at a nice, steady pace.

But unfortunately, emotional and energetic healing doesn’t follow a predictable, step-by-step path. Sometimes, things feel worse before they feel better. Emotions may surface, fatigue may show up, or you may feel more sensitive as your body integrates new energy patterns. This isn’t a sign that it isn’t working—it’s often a sign that it is.

The straight linear path you wish for, will probably look more like a curly cue, winding path, going up, down, left, and right—-but eventually it takes you towards healing.  Try to stay patient and understand that the path to healing won’t look “perfect”.

2. Look for Subtle Signs of Shifts

Even if a big breakthrough hasn’t happened yet, take a moment to reflect on the past few days. Have you:

  • Reacted differently in a stressful situation?

  • Slept a bit better?

  • Noticed a slight lift in your mood?

  • Had new insights or clarity?

  • Felt nudged to make a positive change?

  • Noticed the pain is slightly less intense?

These are all signs that energy is moving, even if the final outcome isn’t visible yet.

3. Give It Time to Integrate

After a session, your body, mind, and energy field go through a recalibration process. I always recommend drinking plenty of water, resting when you can, and giving yourself space to process. Grounding is also very beneficial, even if you only stand barefoot in the grass for a minute or two.  Often, clients notice results in the days or even weeks following a session—sometimes in ways they didn’t expect.

4. Let Go of the Timeline

This one’s challenging, but important. When we expect immediate transformation, it can actually slow the process down. The things that we resist and try to white-knuckle our way through, often end up causing us more stress than it otherwise would’ve needed to.  Try instead to stay open, curious, and compassionate with yourself. Trust that your body knows how to heal in its own perfect timing.

5. Communicate With Your Practitioner

If you're feeling unsure, reach out. Sometimes there’s an energetic layer that’s ready to be addressed but didn’t show up in the first session or two. Each session builds on the last, and sometimes your body needs a few rounds to uncover the deeper, root-level issues.

I always email my clients for an update about a week after our session, just to check in and see how everything is going.  At this time, we may determine another session would be beneficial to release deeper layers.

6. Support Your Energy Between Sessions

Here are a few ways to keep the momentum going:

  • Practice gratitude and positive affirmations daily

  • Get outside and ground with nature–even for a minute or two!

  • Breathe deeply and move your body

  • Journal what’s coming up emotionally

  • Do something that makes you happy to help keep your energy light

7. Celebrate the Effort You’re Making

Taking steps towards healing is an act of courage. Even booking a session is a sign that you’re choosing growth and change–especially if you’re new to the energy healing world.  That alone deserves to be acknowledged. After a session, I encourage you to do something to celebrate the fact that you are taking care of yourself. Even if it’s something as simple as enjoying your favorite meal or dessert.  Your subconscious notices, and it helps reinforce the belief that healing is working for you.

8. Don’t Give Up Too Soon

Healing isn’t like flipping a light switch on or off–it’s more like turning a dimmer up one session at a time. If you stop after one session, you might miss the full transformation that was just around the corner.

I always recommend giving yourself at least three sessions to allow your body to fully process and release what’s ready to go. Trust that each session is moving you forward, even if it’s not obvious yet.

Final Thought: You’re Not Doing It Wrong

There’s nothing wrong with you if results don’t come instantly. Everyone’s healing journey is different. Trust that the work is happening beneath the surface, even if you can’t see it right away. Keep showing up for yourself—and know that transformation is often closer than it seems.  One day, you may have a moment where you realize the massive progress you’ve made and it just snuck up on you.

How to Support Yourself After an Energy Healing Session

The hours and days following a session are just as important as the session itself. Just like your body needs time to heal after a workout or emotional experience, your energy body also needs space to process and shift. Here’s how to support yourself in the best way possible after a session:

1. Give It Time

Energy healing doesn’t always provide instant “aha” moments or immediate pain relief (though sometimes it can!). More often, the shifts unfold gradually—layer by layer. Emotional or physical imbalances that have been held in the body for years don’t usually vanish overnight. In each session we release what is brought to the surface by the subconscious mind, remove it, and then allow the body to adapt to the changes. We can’t release more than what the body is ready to release, even if we really want to speed up the process.  Be patient with yourself. Trust that everything will happen at the perfect time.  Healing is a journey, not a sprint.

2. Hydrate, Hydrate, Hydrate

Your body is made up of nearly 90% water, and water is a powerful conductor of energy. After a session, hydration becomes even more important. Drinking plenty of water helps flush out released energy and supports the body in recalibrating.

Tip: Aim for more than your usual water intake for the next 24–48 hours. Add a pinch of sea salt or a squeeze of lemon if you like to help your body absorb it more effectively. Some of the electrolyte drink mixes on the market are healthy choices too, but some can be very high in sugar, so just be aware.  Also, some people really enjoy soaking in epsom salts after a session to relax.  Even a foot bath using epsom salts can be beneficial.

3. Understand Processing Symptoms

After a session, you may experience what we call “processing symptoms.” These are normal and temporary signs that your body is adjusting to the energy shifts.

Some common symptoms include:

  • Feeling emotional or weepy

  • Mild headaches or fatigue

  • Temporary resurfacing of old thoughts or memories

  • Digestive shifts

  • Changes in sleep or appetite

  • A sense of “nothingness” or emotional flatness or feeling a bit “off”

These experiences are your system clearing and recalibrating. If you notice them, try not to resist. Stay curious and compassionate with yourself, and trust that your body knows how to move through it.

If you ever feel overwhelmed, gentle movement, grounding practices, or even light distraction (like watching a favorite feel-good show or spending time in nature) can help your system self-regulate.  Sometimes just going to bed earlier than normal can be a good idea too.

4. Celebrate and Anchor the Shift

Something simple but powerful to consider is taking a moment to celebrate yourself after your session. Your subconscious loves reward, and celebration helps anchor the idea that healing is a positive and supported process and reminds you that you just did something beneficial for your health and wellness.

Celebration doesn’t have to mean throwing a party.  It can be:

  • Saying a quiet “thank you” to your body

  • Enjoying your favorite drink or treat

  • Listening to music you love

  • Taking a relaxing bath

  • Writing down a few things you're grateful for

5. Support Your Nervous System

Gentle self-care is essential after a session. Try:

  • Taking a salt bath

  • Journaling what you're feeling

  • Walking in nature or grounding barefoot outdoors

  • Doing light stretching or breathwork

  • Getting extra sleep

These practices help your nervous system integrate the changes in a calm and supportive way.

6. Schedule Your Next Session Intuitively

There’s no one-size-fits-all answer to how often you should book sessions. Some clients feel ready for another session in a few days; others prefer to wait a few weeks. If you’re unsure, listen to your body and emotions—when you're feeling stuck again or ready to go deeper, that's a great time to have another session.

As a general guide:

  • If you're working through something intense, weekly or biweekly sessions can help build momentum, especially when you first get started with energy work.

  • If you're in a maintenance or growth phase, monthly sessions may feel just right.

Remember:

The effects of energy healing are often subtle, yet profound. Trust that the shifts are happening, even if you don’t feel them immediately. Every session moves you closer to balance, clarity, and freedom.

Your body and energy know exactly how to heal. Your only job is to support yourself with gentleness, hydration, gratitude, and presence.

If you ever feel unsure or need extra support in between sessions, I’m always here to help.

Three Myths About Energy Healing (and What’s Actually True)

Energy healing is becoming more mainstream, but it can still feel a little “out there” if you’re new to it. Maybe you’ve heard about it through a friend, seen something on social media, or just stumbled across it while searching for ways to feel better physically or emotionally.  I actually discovered it by reading The Emotion Code by Dr. Bradley Nelson and was instantly intrigued.

But along with growing interest comes a lot of misinformation.

Let’s clear that up.

Here are three common myths about energy healing — and what’s actually true:

Myth #1: “Energy healing is only for people who are super spiritual.”

The Truth: Energy healing is for anyone with a body and emotions — which means it’s for everyone.

You don’t have to meditate daily, burn sage, or believe in crystals to benefit from energy work. It’s not a religion or a spiritual practice (although it can feel deeply spiritual to some). At its core, energy healing is simply about identifying and releasing imbalances in the body and energy field — things like trapped emotions, limiting beliefs, or energetic patterns that may be contributing to stress, anxiety, pain, or even physical illness.

Whether you're a busy mom, a career-driven woman, or someone just trying to reach their full potential — energy healing can help move you along on your journey.

Myth #2: “It’s just placebo or ‘woo-woo’ stuff — it can’t actually work.”

The Truth: While energy healing might feel subtle, it often creates real, noticeable shifts.

Skepticism is normal — especially with something that doesn’t involve pills, surgeries, or talk therapy. But I’ve seen time and time again how releasing trapped emotions or correcting imbalances can lead to real results. Clients often report better sleep, more peace of mind, improved physical symptoms, less pain (or no pain!), emotional clarity, or the ability to move forward where they once felt stuck.

And the results aren’t “just in your head” — they’re in your energy field, your nervous system, your subconscious patterns. The body keeps the score, and energy healing helps the body let go of what it doesn’t need anymore.

Myth #3: “If it’s real, it should require touch or in-person sessions.”

The Truth: Energy healing works just as effectively — sometimes even more so — when done remotely.

This is one of the most surprising things to people at first. But energy isn’t bound by location. Think about how you can feel someone’s vibe across a room, or how you can sense something’s wrong with a loved one even when they’re far away.

In my sessions, we connect energetically over the phone— no video required. I work using intention, muscle testing, and proven systems such as The Emotion Code, Body Code and the Belief Code–all developed by Dr. Bradley Nelson, to find and release what your body is ready to let go of. You can be relaxing at home while we have the session and you still get the amazing benefits as if we were in person.

Final Thoughts:

If you’ve been curious about energy healing but unsure if it’s “legit” or “for you,” I hope this helped clear up any doubts. The truth is, your body wants to heal. Sometimes it just needs a little support in clearing out the old energy that’s been weighing it down or preventing the healing process from happening.

You don’t need to be spiritual, perfectly calm, or “healed enough” to begin. You just need to be open to the possibility that healing can happen in ways you may not have experienced before.

How Do I Know If I Have Trapped Emotions?

5 Signs Your Body Might Be Trying to Tell You Something

In energy healing, we understand that emotions are meant to move.
The word emotion is derived from the Latin word emovere, meaning “to move.” But when a strong emotion isn’t fully processed—because it felt too overwhelming, inconvenient, or unsafe at the time—it can get stored in the body’s energy field.

These trapped emotions stay stuck and can silently influence your mood, decisions, physical health, and relationships.

Here are 5 common signs that your body may be carrying emotional energy that’s creating negative results.

1. You Overreact, Absorb Others’ Emotions, or Feel Like a Stranger in Your Own Relationships

Have you ever found yourself snapping at someone you love, sinking into sadness, spiraling into rage, or shutting down emotionally—and then thinking,
“That’s not who I am... Why do I always react like this?”

Maybe you say something in the heat of the moment that you instantly regret. You keep repeating behaviors that don’t match who you want to be. You know better—but something takes over. And afterward, you’re left feeling ashamed, frustrated, or even afraid of your own reactions.

This gap between who you are at your core and how you sometimes show up is one of the clearest signs that trapped emotions are running the show.

These emotions may live in your subconscious for years, influencing your:

  • Mood

  • Triggers

  • Reactions

  • Relationship dynamics

You might notice patterns like:

  • Blowing up over small things that shouldn’t bother you

  • Shutting down during confrontation

  • Feeling instantly defensive, overwhelmed, or ashamed

  • Saying or doing things that feel completely out of character

Afterward, you think:

  • “That’s not how I want to handle things.”

  • “I don’t even like that version of me.”

  • “Why can’t I just stay calm?”

This kind of reactivity can also show up in close relationships—where you feel like you're constantly butting heads with your partner, or suddenly feel triggered by your mom, sister, or a close friend.

You may wonder:

  • Why does my mom drive me crazy now when she didn’t before?

  • Why do I overreact to my partner's tone?

  • Why can’t I seem to have a calm, normal conversation with this person anymore?

It’s usually not them—it’s what they’re triggering in you. You may be carrying trapped emotions like betrayal, resentment, control, abandonment, or rejection. These create energetic patterns that keep you reactive, guarded, or emotionally exhausted.

Once these emotional “cords” are untangled through energy healing, you begin to respond like “you” again.

2. Recurring Physical Pain or Tension That Won’t Go Away

Trapped emotions don’t just affect how you feel emotionally—they often manifest in the physical body.

You might have a nagging ache that you can’t explain. Maybe it’s shoulder tension that won’t go away, hip pain that flares up during stress, or plantar fasciitis that lingers even with rest and treatment.

These are not random. The body stores emotional energy in specific areas:

  • Shoulders carry emotional burden and responsibility. If you often feel like you’re holding everything together for everyone else, that weight may manifest physically.

  • Hips relate to safety, support, and forward movement. Pain here can reflect fear of change, insecurity, or emotional stagnation.

  • Feet (especially plantar fasciitis) are connected to grounding and direction. Pain can reflect pressure, fear of moving forward, or feeling unsupported in life.

Your pain is your body’s way of sending a message. When we ignore emotional roots, symptoms can linger or worsen. But when we release the trapped energy, the body often begins to heal—sometimes rapidly.

3. You Feel Stuck, Blocked, or Held Back—Even Though You Have Big Dreams

You have a vision for your life.

Maybe it’s starting a business, moving to your dream home, or transitioning to a career that actually excites you. You know what you want.

But you don’t take action.
You stay where you are.
You settle.

This is often because part of you is afraid to let go of what’s good enough, in case the unknown turns out worse.

You tell yourself:

  • “It’s not the right time.”

  • “What if I regret it?”

  • “I should be grateful—other people have it worse.”

Underneath, you may be carrying:

  • Fear of regret (“What if I mess everything up?”)

  • Fear of success (“What if I can’t handle it?”)

  • Fear of abandonment (“What if others don’t come with me?”)

  • Inherited beliefs about staying small or not rocking the boat

You might not even know these blocks exist until you try to grow… and feel completely frozen.

Energy healing can gently release these fears and subconscious limitations—so you can finally step into the life you want to create.

4. You Keep Repeating the Same Habits and Patterns—Even When You Want to Change

Maybe it’s a relationship you know isn’t good for you.
Maybe it’s your health—you start eating clean, working out, feeling great… and then suddenly, it all falls apart.

You promise to start again on Monday… only to fall off track again by Wednesday.

This cycle of self-sabotage isn’t about willpower—it’s about emotional energy that hasn’t been released.

You may be holding onto:

  • Shame from past failures

  • Subconscious beliefs that you don’t deserve to feel good

  • A fear that success will bring pressure, judgment, or more responsibility

These are not “bad habits”—they’re coping strategies your nervous system learned to help you survive difficult emotions.

For example:

  • If you grew up being criticized or compared, self-improvement might feel emotionally unsafe.

  • If you used food or distraction to cope in the past, you might default to those under stress.

  • If you carry failure or unworthiness, your body may resist success—even if you consciously want it.

Energy healing helps you clear the emotions tied to perfectionism, procrastination, and self-sabotage—so you can follow through with ease, not force.

5. You’ve Tried Everything—But Still Don’t Feel Better

Maybe you’ve been to therapy, journaled, meditated, exercised, eaten all the right foods, and read all the self-help books.

But something still feels off.

That “something” is often trapped emotional energy. Because no matter how much mindset work you do, if the subconscious is still holding on to fear, pain, or outdated beliefs, your system will stay stuck.

Until that energy is released from your body, it continues to influence how you think, feel, and live.

You Can Make a Change

If any of these signs resonate with you, your body may be showing you that it’s time to release what’s no longer serving you.

The Emotion Code, Body Code, and Belief Code are powerful tools that help identify and clear emotional blocks gently and effectively.

You don’t have to force change. You don’t have to keep pushing.
Your body already knows what it’s ready to release—my role is to help you find it and let it go.

If you’re curious about how energy healing works, or you’re ready to feel lighter, clearer, and more like yourself again, I’d love to support you.

What are Emotions?  Understanding Energy, Frequency, and the Key to Emotional Health

When it comes to our mental, physical, and spiritual well-being, our emotions impact us more directly than most anything. But what are emotions, exactly? Where do they go when we don’t deal with them? And what can we do to feel better, heal faster, and stay balanced?

Understanding emotions is the first step toward freedom, so let’s go back to the basics and explore the truth about emotions.

Emotions Are Energy in Motion

Emotions are energy in motion. Each emotion we feel carries a specific vibrational frequency that can be measured. When we feel an emotion like joy, love, or gratitude, our energy vibrates at a higher frequency. When we feel sadness, fear, or shame, our vibration becomes lower and heavier.

Science shows that our bodies emit electromagnetic frequencies, and our emotional states influence these fields.

The Emotional Frequency Scale: High vs. Low

Here’s a simple way to visualize it:

  • High-vibration emotions: Joy, love, peace, gratitude, inspiration, empowerment

  • Mid-range emotions: Acceptance, courage, willingness, neutrality

  • Low-vibration emotions: Fear, anger, guilt, shame, hopelessness

All emotions are valid—none are “bad.” But those lower-vibration emotions can be more challenging to hold for long periods without affecting our energy, health, and mindset. And when these emotions aren’t processed or expressed, they can become trapped. Below is a chart of emotions in the order of frequencies that helps you visualize the differences between positive and negative emotions.

What Happens When Emotions Get Trapped?

When an emotion isn’t fully processed—maybe because the situation felt too overwhelming at the time, or we were taught to suppress it, or we are just so busy in our day-to-day lives that we don’t have time to process what we’re feeling-emotions can literally get stuck in the body as a ball of energetic frequency.

These trapped emotions can:

  • Create blocks in your energy flow

  • Contribute to chronic stress, fatigue, or even physical pain

  • Trigger reactive patterns and emotional outbursts

  • Sabotage your goals or relationships from behind the scenes

Many of the emotional triggers we have today aren’t about what’s happening now—they’re rooted in unprocessed emotions from the past.  For example, if you have a lot of trapped emotions such as anger, trapped in your body, it wouldn’t be uncommon for you to “snap” or “lose it” more easily than someone who doesn’t have that trapped in their body.

Why Do We Struggle to Process Emotions?

Most of us weren’t taught what is now being referred to as “emotional hygiene”. We were taught to “be strong,” “stay positive,” or “get over it.” But that’s not how energy works.

Processing emotions is not the same as ignoring them, venting about them endlessly, or trying to think your way out. It means feeling them fully, acknowledging their message, and allowing them to move through the body.

How to Start Processing Emotions in a Healthy Way

Here are some powerful ways to begin:

  1. Pause and Name the Emotion
“I feel frustrated,” “I feel sad,” “I feel afraid.” Naming it brings awareness and reduces the emotional charge.

  2. Feel It Without Judgment
Let the emotion move through you without needing to fix or analyze it. Breathe into it. Trust that it won’t last forever.

  3. Use Movement or Breath
Emotions are energy, and energy loves movement. Try shaking, stretching, walking, deep breathing, or even crying it out.  Even punching a pillow or screaming into one can help!

  4. Write or Speak It Out
Journaling or voicing your feelings helps clear mental clutter and prevent emotional build-up.  I recommend setting a timer for 10 minutes and writing non stop whatever comes to mind without filtering it.  Don’t analyze what you’re writing, or even bother making it legible.  When the ten minutes is up, tear it up and throw it away.

  5. Release with Energy Healing
If an emotion has already become trapped, energy healing methods like the Emotion Code can help identify and release it quickly and gently.

Below is an image of an emotion wheel that can really help you pinpoint what emotion you’re feeling.  Sometimes finding the precise description of how you feel makes it easier to let go of.

You’re Meant to Feel—and Heal

You were never meant to suppress your emotions or be overwhelmed by them. You were meant to move through them. Every emotion carries a message, and every feeling wants to move you toward healing, clarity, and freedom.

By understanding the energetic nature of emotions and learning to work with them instead of against them, you’ll feel more in tune with yourself—and more empowered to create the life you truly want.  I like to think of emotions as little tour guides, guiding me through life and each one is sending me a message and helping direct me along the path. Some emotions may make you realize you need a detour, while other ones may provide encouraging messages that you’re on the right path.

Would you like help releasing emotions that may be stuck in your body or energy field? That’s exactly what I do during a session. You can learn more here or book a session with me to experience it firsthand.

The Top 5 Hidden Blocks Women Don’t Know They’re Holding (and How to Clear Them)

As women, we do so much to become the best version of ourselves—reading the books, doing the journaling, saying the affirmations. But sometimes we still feel stuck.

Many of the blocks holding us back aren’t visible on the surface. They’re buried in the subconscious, stored in the body, or even passed down through our family line. After working with many women through energy healing, I’ve identified 5 powerful blocks that often go unnoticed.

Awareness is the first step toward healing, so once you know what to look for you can begin making progress.

1. Inherited Emotional Baggage

One of the most interesting blocks I see in clients is inherited emotional energy—emotions passed down from parents, grandparents, or even further back in your family line. You can actually inherit trapped emotions at the moment of conception.

For example, your grandmother’s unresolved grief, your great-grandfather’s fear, or your mother’s anxiety could be energetically passed to you. These inherited emotions can stay trapped in your body and influence your mood, behavior, relationships, and even health—without you realizing why.

They don’t show up in your conscious thoughts, but they can create deep emotional imprints, hiding in the background of your life.

Through the Emotion Code and Body Code, these inherited patterns can be identified and released—freeing you from emotional energy that was never yours to begin with. Once cleared, clients often feel lighter, more peaceful, and more themselves.

2. Subconscious Beliefs About Worthiness

Even if you say you want abundance, love, or success… your subconscious mind might not believe you deserve it. That internal misalignment creates resistance and self-sabotage.

Many of us carry subconscious belief programs like:

  • “I’m not good enough.”

  • “I have to struggle to be worthy.”

  • “Success isn’t safe.”

  • “I don’t deserve to be seen.”

  • “If I succeed, others will leave me.”

These beliefs often formed in childhood—sometimes even in early school experiences or family dynamics—and are stored beneath the surface.

The Belief Code allows us to identify and shift these deep-rooted programs so your inner truth aligns with what you consciously desire. When your subconscious finally believes you’re worthy, opportunities begin to flow more naturally.

3. Trapped Emotions from Past Trauma (Even “Small” Ones)

Trauma isn’t about the size of the event—it’s about how your nervous system experienced it at the time.

What feels traumatic to a child may not seem like a big deal to an adult. And what overwhelms you in one season of life might roll off your back in another. Emotional “bandwidth” plays a huge role in how experiences impact us.

Your body stores the emotional energy from these moments—moments that may have felt like rejection, fear, embarrassment, or heartbreak—and that energy can remain stuck, continuing to affect how you feel and react.

The Emotion Code can gently release those trapped emotional layers, helping you move from reacting to life from old wounds to responding from a calm, present place. Many clients feel immediate relief once these emotions are cleared.

4. Imbalances in the Heart-Wall

Most people don’t know they’re walking around with an energetic “wall” around their heart. This wall, made up of trapped emotional energy, is built by the subconscious to protect you from further emotional pain.

The Heart-Wall can be helpful during hard times but if it stays in place too long, it can cause major issues—like difficulty feeling or expressing love, emotional numbness, creative blocks, and disconnection from others, and yourself.

Unless you’ve had it consciously cleared, you likely have a Heart-Wall. And even if you’ve released it once, it can rebuild during new seasons of stress or grief.

Clearing the Heart-Wall is one of the most powerful and freeing parts of energy healing. Clients often feel a deeper sense of love, joy, intuition, and emotional freedom once their heart energy is no longer blocked.

5. Unconscious Loyalty to Family Struggles or Patterns

This one runs deep—and is often completely outside of our awareness.

Many women subconsciously limit their success, happiness, or visibility out of loyalty to their family of origin. We might hold ourselves back from earning more than our parents did… from having a healthy marriage when our relatives struggled, or from being in the spotlight if no one else in our family ever has.

You might even fear that if you become “too successful,” you’ll upset your siblings or be left out of the family dynamic. The fear of leaving others behind can keep you stuck at a level that feels “acceptable” to the group.

Once you see this subconscious loyalty for what it is—love and fear mixed together—you can honor your past while choosing a new path.

Final Thoughts:
If you’re doing all the things and still not seeing the breakthrough you want, something deeper might be the problem.

Energy healing helps you access and clear these invisible blocks so you can finally move forward with clarity, alignment, and freedom.

Curious what you might be holding? Book a session with me here and let’s explore it together.
