Releasing Mom Guilt: Healing the Resentment of Putting Everyone Else First and How to Deal with the Overwhelm of Daily Life
As moms, we give our heart and soul to our family. We love our kids more than anything and would do anything for them. But underneath this devotion, can lie the feeling of resentment.
It’s often disguised as exhaustion or irritability. But deep down, it’s there and we may find ourselves wondering, “What about me?”
Maybe you used to dream about writing a book, learning to paint, or starting your own business. Maybe you imagined waking up early to sip your coffee in peace, to spend the morning reading, or just sleeping late in the morning. But those days are long gone, seemingly never to return again.
There may be a part of you that feels neglected by your own life. A part of you that longs to be seen and cared for.
Sometimes, that resentment comes with a side of guilt.
Guilt for even feeling this way. Guilt for wanting space. Guilt for noticing the freedom other women seem to have — those without kids or with more help — and feeling a twinge of jealousy, even though you wouldn’t trade your kids for anything. It makes you wonder if you’re somehow wrong for wanting more.
You’re not.
These feelings don’t make you a bad mom. They make you human. In addition to the common feeling of resentment, we may also struggle with feeling overwhelmed on a daily basis.
The mental load of motherhood is relentless. Between keeping track of who needs to be where, what form needs to be signed, who needs new shoes, what’s for dinner, and how to squeeze in five minutes to yourself, it can feel like you’re juggling a million balls in the air.
Energy healing can help calm the inner storm.
When your nervous system is always in fight-or-flight mode from overwhelm, your energy becomes scattered, heavy, and reactive. You may feel like you’re operating on fumes — constantly “on,” but never grounded.
In an Emotion Code/Body Code Session, we can identify and release trapped emotions like anxiety, frustration, bitterness, and even that sense of failure that creeps in when you feel like you just can’t keep up. When these emotional imbalances are cleared, it creates more space, clarity, and calm — not just in your body, but in your mind.
Many clients tell me after a session, the chaos doesn’t magically disappear — but they feel more in control. They breathe easier. They’re more present. The to-do list feels less daunting, and they find themselves responding calmly instead of mindlessly reacting.
Energy healing doesn’t take away your responsibilities — it strengthens you so you can carry them with more ease and less emotional weight.
You can love your children deeply and love yourself enough to reclaim your energy, your goals, and your joy.
If you’re ready to release the guilt, lighten the emotional load, and reconnect with the woman you were before life got so chaotic, I’d love to support you. My one-on-one energy healing sessions are designed to gently uncover and release the emotional blocks holding you back — so you can feel more peace, more clarity, and more you.
