Emotional Healing from Around the World: Chinese Medicine and German New Medicine’s Similarities

Sometimes healing feels like a mystery—especially when symptoms appear "out of nowhere" or when we’ve tried everything and nothing seems to work. But what if two very different systems, from different parts of the world, actually point to the same root cause of illness?

That’s exactly what I’ve found in exploring both Traditional Chinese Medicine and German New Medicine. One is ancient and Eastern. The other is modern and European. But they both agree on something: Our emotions can create imbalance in the body—and that imbalance can eventually lead to illness.

Traditional Chinese Medicine: Flow and Balance

In Chinese Medicine, your body is made up of energy pathways (called meridians). Emotions are energy, too—and they’re meant to flow. But when we hold on to emotions like grief, anger, fear, or worry, that energy can get stuck.

Each organ has an emotional “theme”:

  • Liver → Anger and frustration

  • Lungs → Grief and sadness

  • Stomach/Spleen → Worry and overthinking

Long-term emotional stagnation can cause the life force (called Qi)  to become blocked. And over time, this can lead to physical symptoms, chronic illness, or even cancer.

German New Medicine: Shock and Survival

German New Medicine takes a different route but ends up in a similar place. It says every illness starts with a deep emotional shock—a sudden, unexpected experience that creates a kind of "emergency program" in the brain. That program then triggers a physical response in a specific part of the body.

For example:

  • A heartbreak or separation may affect the skin or breast tissue

  • A fear-related shock could impact the kidneys

  • A self-worth conflict might show up in the bones or joints

Illness isn’t seen as random or bad. It’s the body’s biological response to emotional survival.

What They Both Teach Us

Even though these systems developed worlds apart, they agree on something powerful:

  1. They both agree that emotions impact health.

  2. Disease begins with imbalance.

  3. Physical symptoms reflect deep emotional roots.

  4. Healing involves emotional awareness.

  5. The body is wise, not broken.

Both philosophies explain  what I see every day in energy healing: your body holds onto emotional energy—and when we release it, healing begins.

Using tools like The Emotion Code and Body Code, I help uncover the stuck emotions, energetic imbalances, and subconscious beliefs that may be holding your body in a state of stress or dis-ease.

Whether your symptoms feel physical, emotional, or a mix of both, the root is often something you couldn’t quite see—but can absolutely shift.

If you’ve been feeling stuck, fatigued, anxious, or off balance—and nothing has fully helped—it might be time to look beneath the surface.

Book a Session with Me to start clearing what your body is ready to release—and let healing begin.

You were designed to heal.  Your body knows the way.
