Three Myths About Energy Healing (and What’s Actually True)
Energy healing is becoming more mainstream, but it can still feel a little “out there” if you’re new to it. Maybe you’ve heard about it through a friend, seen something on social media, or just stumbled across it while searching for ways to feel better physically or emotionally. I actually discovered it by reading The Emotion Code by Dr. Bradley Nelson and was instantly intrigued.
But along with growing interest comes a lot of misinformation.
Let’s clear that up.
Here are three common myths about energy healing — and what’s actually true:
Myth #1: “Energy healing is only for people who are super spiritual.”
The Truth: Energy healing is for anyone with a body and emotions — which means it’s for everyone.
You don’t have to meditate daily, burn sage, or believe in crystals to benefit from energy work. It’s not a religion or a spiritual practice (although it can feel deeply spiritual to some). At its core, energy healing is simply about identifying and releasing imbalances in the body and energy field — things like trapped emotions, limiting beliefs, or energetic patterns that may be contributing to stress, anxiety, pain, or even physical illness.
Whether you're a busy mom, a career-driven woman, or someone just trying to reach their full potential — energy healing can help move you along on your journey.
Myth #2: “It’s just placebo or ‘woo-woo’ stuff — it can’t actually work.”
The Truth: While energy healing might feel subtle, it often creates real, noticeable shifts.
Skepticism is normal — especially with something that doesn’t involve pills, surgeries, or talk therapy. But I’ve seen time and time again how releasing trapped emotions or correcting imbalances can lead to real results. Clients often report better sleep, more peace of mind, improved physical symptoms, less pain (or no pain!), emotional clarity, or the ability to move forward where they once felt stuck.
And the results aren’t “just in your head” — they’re in your energy field, your nervous system, your subconscious patterns. The body keeps the score, and energy healing helps the body let go of what it doesn’t need anymore.
Myth #3: “If it’s real, it should require touch or in-person sessions.”
The Truth: Energy healing works just as effectively — sometimes even more so — when done remotely.
This is one of the most surprising things to people at first. But energy isn’t bound by location. Think about how you can feel someone’s vibe across a room, or how you can sense something’s wrong with a loved one even when they’re far away.
In my sessions, we connect energetically over the phone— no video required. I work using intention, muscle testing, and proven systems such as The Emotion Code, Body Code and the Belief Code–all developed by Dr. Bradley Nelson, to find and release what your body is ready to let go of. You can be relaxing at home while we have the session and you still get the amazing benefits as if we were in person.
Final Thoughts:
If you’ve been curious about energy healing but unsure if it’s “legit” or “for you,” I hope this helped clear up any doubts. The truth is, your body wants to heal. Sometimes it just needs a little support in clearing out the old energy that’s been weighing it down or preventing the healing process from happening.
You don’t need to be spiritual, perfectly calm, or “healed enough” to begin. You just need to be open to the possibility that healing can happen in ways you may not have experienced before.
